The Healthy Swap Series

This term, we're exploring simple, practical, and affordable ways to swap everyday snacks and lunches for healthier alternatives — because small swaps lead to big changes.

Each session includes:

  • 35 minutes of guided physical exercise — suitable for all fitness levels
  • 25 minutes of nutrition education, food tasting & fellowship
  • Practical healthy eating tips in a warm, welcoming environment

Faith & Fitness is your space to grow in health, faith, and community — whether you're just starting your wellness journey or staying active and connected.

Lifestylerz joined the KKIA community for a talk on navigating NZ's healthcare system, followed by an energizing workout class with Gavin. It was a great mix of learning, movement, and connection!

Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to guiding you on your journey to lasting health and wellbeing. Dr. Lira and Gavin are certified members of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine — bringing you trusted, evidence-based care with heart.

Dr. Lira Lecias, MD, FRNZCGP

Lifestyle Physician

Dr. Lira leads our medical strategy, integrating evidence-based lifestyle interventions with conventional medicine to address chronic conditions and promote holistic health.

Dr Lira actively applies Lifestyle Medicine principles in her GP work and with her leadership, extends this work further in the communities with the hope of helping individuals & families achieve healthier lives.

Gavin O'Brien, Lifestyle Physiotherapist

What I Do
At Lifestylerz, I offer physiotherapy consultations and run small-group exercise classes to help people recover from injury, move better, and get stronger.

My Passion
I enjoy working with all ages, including people with disabilities. Outside of work I enjoy training for triathlons and staying active outdoors with family.

My Qualifications
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2015 from RGU Aberdeen, UK and have additional training in Pilates and Lifestyle Medicine.

Kathie Albertson

Health Coach / Personal Trainer

What I Do
At Lifestylerz, I run group fitness classes and offer personal training and health coaching sessions.

My Passion
I believe well-being has several interconnected factors: Physical, Mental, Social and Spiritual. Human connection is at the heart of everything I do. Currently, I hold an and love participating in classes and competitions.

My Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Physical Education teacher and certified Personal Trainer. Trained clients at CityFitness, Aimz Fitness, Jetts and in-home settings. Certified Health Coach with experience working in a GP clinic. Currently hols Advanced Judging Certificate in CrossFit .

Hennesey Catayas

Associate Registered Nutritionist

Hennesey delivers nutrition information in an easy, digestible format. She shares practical insight on how to make healthy eating a natural part of daily life.

What I Do: At Lifestylerz, I provide evidence-based educational presentations to support people in building healthier, more sustainable habits. I offer insight about nutrition in practice and putting nutritional concepts into an easily digestible format.

My Passion: I believe that health is wealth, and when we combine a balanced diet with conscious lifestyle choices, we can work towards the best version ourselves. I believe that holistic wellness is achievable and I am passionate about helping people towards making that first step.

My Qualifications & Experience: I have a BSc, Specialising in Nutrition from the University of Auckland and I am an Associate Registered Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of New Zealand.

Jen Ibarra-Stowers

Health Coach -working towards her Nutrition certificate

I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I’ve been in New Zealand for over 18 years now. I am a wife and mum of 2 sons. I worked in the hospitality sector for over 10 years before changing career pathways. I worked as a health coach for almost 3 years. Now I am a stay at home mum working on finishing my certificate in nutrition. My passion is food and people. I want to see others and the community thrive with the help of nutritious and delicious meals.”
